Any incorporated non-profit society of Alberta offering settlement/integration services to one ethnic or language group or a multiplicity of groups may become a member by a favorable vote passed by a majority of members at a regular meeting of the society, and upon payment of a fee. Such voting shall be by ballot, unless the meeting, by resolution, otherwise decides.
An agency will be eligible if it provides two or more settlement services on a regular basis. Settlement/integration services are defined as direct front line services delivered specifically to immigrants and refugees in the following areas:
Privileges of members in good standing include: running for office, voting at the annual general meeting, receiving general mailings, and inspection of the records and books of the Association.
